What method are you using for window cleaning?

Traditional window cleaning is what many people still picture - once done with newspaper and vinegar, later with a chamois, and eventually with the familiar mop and squeegee. This method remains effective today, especially for internal glass and deep cleans where extra effort is needed.

For most exterior work, however, we use the modern water-fed pole system. This method relies on purified water - tap water filtered through a specialist purification system - to deliver a spotless, streak-free finish. Using extendable poles, we can safely clean from ground level without ladders or access equipment, reaching windows, frames, and uPVC surfaces with ease.

Although the equipment is more expensive, it allows us to work efficiently, maintain the highest safety standards, and meet the requirements of many commercial properties that permit only the water-fed pole method.

Do you work in the rain?

Yes - light rain does not affect the quality of our work. If weather conditions are severe and could impact safety or results, we’ll reschedule at no extra cost.

Do I need to be home during the service?

No, as long as we have access to the property (through side gates, etc.), you don’t need to be home. For your convenience, we’ll notify you when the job is complete.

Do you clean 3-storey or hard-to-reach windows?

Yes, we are equipped with a professional water-fed pole system that allows us to safely clean high and awkwardly positioned windows.

Are you insured?

Yes - W&W Cleaning Services Ltd is fully insured for your peace of mind. We carry public liability insurance, which protects you and your property in the unlikely event of accidental damage while we are working. This means you can book our services with complete confidence, knowing that we operate professionally, responsibly, and with full cover in place.

How often should I have my windows or gutters cleaned?

Most customers book window cleaning every 8 weeks to keep glass clear and frames looking fresh. Gutter clearing is usually recommended once or twice a year, depending on nearby trees and property type.

How can I pay?

For our regular services, payments are collected securely through GoCardless by Direct Debit. After each clean is completed, you’ll receive an invoice - no money is taken in advance. Unlike standard monthly Direct Debits (such as phone or energy bills), payments are only processed once the work has been carried out. All payments are fully protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee, and you’ll receive an email notification three days before a payment is collected, giving you time to review and raise any concerns.

For one-off services, we accept payment by bank transfer.

Do you guarantee your work?

Yes - if you are not completely satisfied, let us know within 24 hours and we will return to re-clean the affected areas free of charge.
